Squamisher has one more millionaire, thanks to Lotto 6/49.
Gary Golaiy has won a $3.3 million jackpot on a ticket he purchased at the Husky gas station on Garibaldi Way in Squamish.
The 58-year-old Squamish resident matched all six numbers on the January 19 draw to win $3,316,848.20 million.
“My first reaction was disbelief,” said Golaiy. “I’m still overwhelmed. I had to look over the ticket so many times to convince myself I wasn’t seeing things.”
“This was only the third time I had used this number combination,” said Golaiy.
“I always pick numbers that are special to me when I play. I still can’t believe my eyes!”
Golaiy plans to leave the money in the bank for now until he decides what to do with his winnings.
In August 2011, Squamish resident Marlene Everett won $3.4 million on Lotto 6/49.

Congratulations Gary. Awesome that the numbers you played coincided with your dearly departed fur-friend. Wonderful story!
