The soon to be opened Dairy Queen in Squamish is hiring.
If you are ‘craving a really sweet job’ then head to the Squamish Public Library in the first week of June.
The Dairy Queen Grill and Chill is holding a job fair at the library on June 7, from 1 to 5 pm, and June 9, from 1 to 4 pm.
The job offers ‘friendly, fun co-workers, great work environment, advancement opportunities, flexible schedules, and competitive pay.”
Dairy Queen is expected to be open in June across from Home Depot in the new plaza in the Squamish Business Park.
The 2600-square feet Squamish store will also offer a drive-thru service for customers.
While best known for its desserts and frozen treats, Dairy Queen has been promoting burgers, chicken strips, wraps and onion rings alongside its more traditional offerings.
In an earlier interview with the Squamish Reporter, Tony Watters, director of franchise development, said the company is focussed on Grill & Chill development.
“We still have the ice creams and the deserts, but you can also enjoy burgers and onion rings, so it’s like three restaurants in one place,” he said.
The company plans to open more locations in the province next year.
“BC will be a huge market for us in 2019,” Watters said.
