Squamish non-profits are still open and actively working toward solutions to meet the needs of the community during this health crisis.
While some of the main offices may not be open to the public due to Covid-19, local non-profit staff are still on duty in a variety of ways, according to a statement by non-profits.
The phone lines are open and there is the ability to connect to services via phone or teleconferencing or other virtual platforms. Locals are being encouraged to call to find out more.
All the regular hotlines and crisis lines are still operating, and local non-profits, VCH and District of Squamish are in regular contact and working together to share resources in the community.
“We are all working together and making sure we are able to do everything possible to de-escalate this health crisis,” the non-profits said in a joint statement.
