Squamish RCMP issued a warning to an angry customer who damaged the door of a business in Downtown Squamish after being asked to wear a mask.
This is the second such incident in the last two weeks where a customer refused to wear a mask and misbehaved, leading to a point where police had to be called.
The latest incident happened on November 24, when police was called to a downtown business to deal with an angry customer who refused to wear a mask.
The individual then damaged the door while leaving the business.
The person was located shortly after and was issued a warning, although officers didn’t issue any tickets.
On November 21, Squamish RCMP received a similar complaint from a downtown business when a customer refused to wear a mask and was also yelling at people.
Squamish RCMP reminds that under the BC Public Health Order masks are mandatory while people are inside a public business unless they are exempt.
The fine for non-compliance is a $230 ticket.

Really RCMP this person damages the door of a business on the way out and he is only given a warning! What about the store that has to bear the cost of the door repair?

Why only warning ?
