Over the past year, the Squamish Arts Council has gone through a renewal and have now rebranded as Squamish Arts.
“Established in the 70’s, our purpose has morphed and grown over time and it was time to capture this in a new strategic plan and branding,” said Squamish Arts. Squamish Arts worked with award-winning graphic and brand designer Alex Fowkes for this rebranding project.
“For the main wordmark, I was inspired by the need to simplify the brand and purpose while amplifying the organization’s mission around the arts. The new typeface is highly recognizable and will be very unique to Squamish Arts,” said Alex Fowkes.
As part of the new branding, some of the arts programs will also have a new look and feel. The first is Squamish Art Walk, a celebration of visual arts that brings together local artists and businesses in the community. This year’s Art Walk will take place across the Sea to Sky from July 1 to 28 with increased programming that highlights the visual and performing artists in our region.
