The proponents of a new three-lot subdivision in Garibaldi Highlands are inviting the community to a public information meeting about the proposal.
The meeting will be held tomorrow, July 5, Wednesday, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Sandman Hotel, located at 39400 Discovery Way. District of Squamish has received a rezoning application, which, if approved, would rezone the lot at 40636 Thunderbird Ridge, from Residential RS-1 to Residential Small lot (RS-3).
This rezoning by the Squamish council would allow the proponent, Anand Ishwar Design (AI Designs) to subdivide the lot into three new lots, which would permit the construction of three detached homes. The site currently has a single-family home with lot area of 10,555 square feet. This is a proponent-led public information meeting and not a public hearing, though it will be attended by the District of Squamish officials.
The District of Squamish is also considering a similar application at 38287 Vista Crescent in Hospital Hill, where the applicant proposes to subdivide the lot into 3 single family lots, creating two new lots while retaining the existing home.
