The Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association invites the community to the inaugural Squamish Holiday Festival on Saturday, November 30. Get ready to celebrate the holiday season at the first-ever Squamish Holiday Festival, featuring a festive Holiday Parade, Santa’s Grotto, and a vibrant Holiday Market on November 30.
Join the BIA from 3 pm to 8 pm at Squamish Plaza for the Holiday Market, where you’ll discover delightful gifts, seasonal treats, and food trucks to satisfy your cravings. Santa elves will welcome visitors at the Grotto (located at The o’Siyam Pavilion), with a brief intermission during the parade from 5 pm to 6:30 pm (Santa will appear at the Grotto after 6:30 pm).
As dusk falls, watch in wonder as the streets come alive with an enchanting, family-friendly parade! “We warmly invite all community members to join in the festivities! There’s still time to participate; sign up for a float by Friday, November 22,” said Kerry Neil, the Downtown Squamish BIA president. “Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Yule, Kwanzaa, or simply embracing the joy of the season, Downtown Squamish BIA encourages you to be part of this lively, inclusive, and joyful celebration in Downtown Squamish.”
The parade will commence at the end of Loggers Lane near the Yacht Club, proceeding along Vancouver Street, turning right onto Cleveland Avenue (passing Howe Sound Brew Pub), and continuing north on Cleveland to Pemberton Avenue. Floats will follow up on The Pavilion and park along the Main to Victoria block of Cleveland Avenue for a special float showcase.
DSBIA is also encouraging all downtown businesses to stay open until 8 pm, offering late-night shopping to enhance the vibrant festivities of the evening. Expect special promotions, giveaways, and plenty of festive cheer!
